After the terrorist attacks on September 11th, many of you enthusiastically responded by assisting the Department and your fellow citizens at sites throughout the city. Thousands of retired members responded to a follow-up survey, indicating a willingness to help under any circumstances. You showed that even in retirement, your heart remains with your fellow officers and New York City.
