Abstract:
Today’s choice of web development frameworks can lead to a perplexing paralysis. In this session, we will introduce you to TypeScript, React, and Redux, all of which are used by the engineering team at Palantir. You’ll leave with some awesome new skills and resources to put to use on your next project.

Bio:
Brie is excited to come back to Stanford to share knowledge of web development with you. Since earning her co-terminal Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford in 2014, she has been working at Palantir as a full-stack software engineer. She is passionate about frontend technologies, user experience, and making a difference in the world. Every day, she uses the latest web technologies to build products that empower analysts — her team’s most recent project helped uncover healthcare fraud. She is continually amazed at the ways practical computer science skills can help tackle big challenges. She can’t wait to share some of those skills with you!
