On 06/02/2000, in Houston, Guevara and two co-defendants attempted to rob a market. A struggle ensued between Guevara and the two store employees. Guevara shot and killed both victims, a 48 year old South Korean male and a 21 year old Guatemalan male. Guevara and the co-defendant's fled the scene.
