Summary of Incident
On January 14, 2012, the subject went to the victim's residence where the victim's wife answered the door. She told the subject her husband was ill and in bed. The subject forced his way into the residence and immediately started stabbing her with a pocketknife. She told the subject she had no money and gave him a dollar bill from her purse. Her husband heard her screams, and when he came to help, the subject starting stabbing the victim. The victim's wife gave the subject $410 she kept in a kitchen drawer. The subject pulled the phone off the wall, threatened to kill them if they called police, tied them both up, and stole their vehicle. The wife was able to call police from her cell phone. The subject was found later at a motel where he had been residing. They were both life-flighted to a hospital where the victim later died. The wife suffered more than 24 stab wounds all over her body, including her face, neck, back, and legs.
