	Important notice regarding temporary change in License Division and Rifle and Shotgun Section hours of operation. Effective immediately the License Division and the Rifle and Shotgun Section will not be open to accept new applications on Monday nights. The License Division’s hours of operation will be from 8:30 AM until 4 PM Monday through Friday until further notice. Applicants must arrive at 1 Police Plaza or the Rifle/Shotgun Section , 120-55 Queens Boulevard, Kew Gardens, early enough for processing to be completed by 4:00 PM. The amount of time needed to process an application varies by situation, but averages approximately 45 minutes. Please review instructions for items needed before submitting your application.

	Important information for active UMOS: Do not file a FOIL exemption request form with the License Division. This form only applies to persons with active handgun licenses.

	As of February 1, 2015, the fee for fingerprints is $89.75.
